Ream was co-founded and is led by Emilia Rose, a bestselling romance author and publishing entrepreneur, and her husband Sean Patnode.
As an author, Emilia has built a six-figure writing career and reached more than 70 million reads, with firsthand experience across serial fiction, reader subscriptions, audio, comics, and digital publishing.
After building and scaling her own author business, she identified a structural problem in modern publishing: creators were expected to drive growth, content, and community—while platforms retained control over monetization, data, and long-term value.
